It’s a harsh reality, but at some point in our lives, we become the target of others’ unresolved issues, bearing the brunt of their behaviour unfairly.
Putting up with and soldiering on through such experiences can take a toll on our mental health.
Walking away may seem daunting, especially if we once shared positive relationships with the individuals involved.
However, often, it’s the wisest course of action – a way to reclaim our power and protect our wellbeing.
In the UK, the statistics of bullying are staggering – a new YouGov poll revealed:
❤️🩹Two thirds (66%) of Britons say they have been bullied at some point in their lives.
❤️🩹 1 in 5 people (21%) say they experienced bullying as an adult.
❤️🩹 6 in 10 (59%) were bullied as a child.
If you are experiencing this type of behaviour, it might be time to take a stand and audit the relationships in your life.
By distancing ourselves from negativity and those who adversely affect our mental health, we reclaim control of our happiness and wellbeing.
